2023 Acura Integra in front of Acura Plus Blainville dealership

The Acura Integra comeback is the talk of the town after 16 years of absence: it's enough to awaken the passions of those nostalgic for the years 1990-2000! Sportiness and fun were then at the forefront, and they still are with the new Integra.

Acura Plus Blainville invites you to discover more about its powertrain as well as its exterior and interior designs and its on-board technologies.

Acura Integra: 200 Horsepower and Fun Behind the Wheel

At the heart of the new Acura Integra is a turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. As you may have guessed, this engine is borrowed from the Honda Civic Si, the performance version of the popular Civic.

Historically, the Integra has always used components from this car, so it's a common thread that's simply back. Another similarity that will also please driving enthusiasts is the existence of an optional 6-speed manual transmission! It is available on the A-Spec Elite version; the other versions are equipped with a CVT transmission.

The standard Acura Integra includes a built-in dynamic system for driving that adapts to your mood. Comfort, Normal and Sport modes vary factors such as:

  • Throttle response
  • Transmission mapping
  • Steering response
  • Speedometer color

With the A-Spec Elite, an individual mode is added to the set to customize your experience.

For the time being, there is no Acura Integra Type R in sight, but the manufacturer hints that an Integra Type S could be on the way. This could lead to an even more exciting engine!

New Acura Integra: A Modern Nod to the Past

For this new generation after a long absence, the 2023 Acura Integra integrates a few aesthetic touches from previous models. Its profile, with a sloping roof and tailgate, is reminiscent of the Integra coupés of yesteryear. According to Dominic Boucher, journalist for Le Guide de l'auto:

"The aesthetics of the new Integra are inspired by the 1987 five-door version."

Despite a few nods to the past, it is highly modern, with features typical of today's Acura, among which the pentagonal grille and bright Jewel Eye headlights.

The A-Spec package adds a few more elements for even sportier styling, including gloss black surrounds, 18-inch wheels and a spoiler.

Acura Integra 2023: A Techno Interior

A lot has changed since the last Acura Integra in 2006! The new iteration gets an update with plenty of infotainment technology built into a 7- or 9-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are featured, as well as the optional Alexa system.

As for the instrumentation, it is displayed in a 10.2-inch digitized screen and can be supplemented with a heads-up display to better view information.

Moreover, standard driver assistance technologies are widespread; these include:

  • A rear cross-traffic alert system

  • Blind spot information

  • Lane departure warning system

  • Traffic sign recognition system

  • And much more

Luxury the Acura Way

For buyers of luxury cars like Acuras, the interior is a key consideration. In the new Acura, there are a number of features designed for comfort.

The front seats and steering wheel are heated in the base version, called Integra; the Elite A-Spec version heats also the rear seats. This same version also offers leatherette and Ultrasuede upholstery, 12-way power driver's seat and more.
