Acura fundamentally redesigned the 2018 ILX for the first time in 6 years. The front of the vehicle presents a new pentagonal grille, smaller than previous ones but much more modern and better crafted. This new grille is framed by LED headlights that were also redesigned. The shape of the cabin and the 2018 ILX’s lines were built with aerodynamics in mind, which results in a rear part magnificently simple compared to previous generations. The cabin of this luxury sedan did not escape the designers’ efforts. The materials used exude refinement and the infotainment system has also been updated to reflect today’s customer needs. The 2018 ILX is equipped with the AcuraWatch suite that includes features such as an adaptive cruise driver, an emergency braking system, a lane exit/collision mitigation system, and a lot more.

 

A Performance that Won’t Quit
 

Since nobody ever complained about an Acura performance in general and about an ILX’s in particular, the manufacturer carries on the tradition by keeping the exact same engine for the 2018 model, namely a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine capable of producing 201 horsepower. The transmission also remained unchanged: we’re talking about a dual-clutch, 8-speed automatic box. This should provide you with a superior handling, which is convenient considering that the 2018 Acura ILX’s suspension was designed for a sporty driving style.
